Over the weekend, my daughter was to leave for the airport for a trip at 2 pm and at 12 noon, the whole family was searching the whole house over for her passport. She missed her flight!
Yes, we know we should take all precaution and steps to prepare for a trip. The lesson to remember is that we are to be consistently methodical about keeping our personal documents and must be kept at a safe same place each time after use. Failure to do so is negligence on our part. Disregard and failure to observe procedures are great set back in life. It is correct that we must be prepared for all eventuality but things do not just always happened. A well spent life is one which we can control and contribute. We harvest what we plant.
For our spiritual life, meeting our Lord one day is a certainty. We should not be overly concerned over this fact but instead rejoice over it and live a meaningful life which is granted to us by our Loving Heavenly Father. All we have to do is to continue loving Him and acknowledge that Jesus is our Lord and Master. Confess our sins and look up to face the world as children of God for He will not let us down. Have God's faith and hope that surpasses all human understanding. Trust and obey.
