Resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brothers' way. - Romans 14 : 13   

We need to come to a definite and earnest decision when wanting to carry Jesus' cross and follow Him. Everything we do and say, we must first seek the Lord's grace. This would help us not to stray. Help us instead to abide in His way.

First we have to clear away or dispel doubts and fears. We need to trust that our Lord and in His promises that when we knock, it shall open, seek, we shall find, ask and it shall be given.

Convert and transform our minds to reduce the tendency to be jealous, selfish, proud, arrogant, conceited and self-satisfied. We need to have the transformation by His grace to have the right values and strength to live a meaningful and purposeful life. Our love must be sincere. Hate what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honour one another above ourselves. Never lacking in zeal, but keep our spiritual fervor, serving our Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

The greatest force on earth is not the compulsion of law but the compassion of love.
