DB - Monday 9th February 09 - Making A Statement in worst time

A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance. - Proverbs 15 : 13

We feel ashamed sometimes to see car decals with bold words "Jesus Saves!", "Jesus Is Lord" when the drivers of these vehicles commit inconsiderate driving habits. It is important to proclaim Jesus' name and make known to others that we belong to Him. However, we must appreciate that proclaiming His Name comes with a responsibility, ownership and belonging. We must never use His Name in vain.

In our daily living, we need to be considerate. We know that there will be time when we can be stressed. We need to balance our work and play. Too much of each would land us lopsided towards unhappiness and carelessness. Thus to be holy and cheerful  would ensure that we have the right attitude towards others and capable of handling each situation correctly. When our hearts are right with God, we can find the best solution. It is during  worst time that we are called to stand tall for our Lord. In good times, we know that it is easier to sing and praise Him. When things go wrong, we must also take time to pray and be calm and be thankful. Surely goodness will follow us when we put Jesus' interest first and allow His Spirit to guide and lead us. God promised to be with us, giving us His Power and personally looking after our interest like a good Shepherd do.

Do others see Jesus in us in worst times?

Wishing all  a wonderful and blessed *Chap Goh May!
