When they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him. - Luke 23:33

What does "Good Friday" mean to us? A day of sadness? A day of mourning? A day to remind us that there are cruel people? A day when we want to shed a tear or two?

None of the above! We are to rejoice that our God, our Heavenly Father LOVES US so much that He allowed His begotten Son to be crucified on the cross. It is the day we want to love our Lord for His sacrifice. He has called us His "Friends". The greatest love a person can have for his friends is to give up his life for them. Jesus did just that. For His act, we can now be free from our sins and guilt. All we have to do is to confess our sins and invite Him to be our Master and Lord of our lives. Into victory we shall be when pick up His Cross and follow His commandments. All worldly things will grow strangely deem in the light of His grace.

We did not choose Jesus to die on the cross. He chose us and appointed us to go and bear much fruits, the kind of fruits that endures forever. God will give us whatever we ask of Him in Jesus Name.

The cross of Christ reveals the love of God at its best and the sin of the world at its worst.
