DB - Thursday 29th January 2009 - The Aging Process
Do not cast me off in the time of old age; do not forsake me when my strength fails. - Psalm 71 : 9
"What goes up and never comes down?" You are right "AGE". Aging is not only a personal concern but that of each good government. The greying society is the focus in the Third Age. Much efforts have been put into the young and equally of importance is towards the aging society. We are always moved by sad stories of elders not been cared for by their offspring.
During this period of festivities, we must spend time with our elders, especially those of us who are still lucky to have our parents and grandparents whom we can fellowship with. Treasure the moments of their time. Holding their hands and for sure our touch will electrify their weakening nerves and enjoy the togetherness. Let's rejoice in that through them we have our days. It is from their maturity that we can learn many things and prepare ourselves for the ultimate. God is faithful and will not forsake those who seek Him. We can assist our elderly by assuring them that our Lord's blessing in their past is now been enjoyed by generations after.
As the years add up, God's faithfulness keeps multiplying.
